Yokai in July!

Alright now boys and girls, men and women, cats and dogs verbs and nouns, haves and have-nots. Its that time again, that time being 3:46 am apparently, exactly 46 minutes after the commencement of the witching hour and a more than perfect time to announce the new (holy fuck say it ain't so) theme of the month for this blog...this blog of monsters...this (as it were) monster blog. I told myself i would do this on friday, and I'm only 3 hours late so lets just cut the shit and do it to it! The theme this month is Yokai! Traditional Japanese folk crazies and the like. Get on that kids, you know where to send 'em. You've got a week, so lets drop the mother fuckin' beat!

Now accepting Submissions for:
Kaiju (Giant Monsters)

Well, Monster Transmission Channel 151 has returned from a short vacation. It took a nap, played some pokemon, and ate some children. But now its back, and shit is real.

This is what you all have been really waiting for. As a new years gift, i give to you: Giant monsters. Anyone who has known me personally for more than 15 minutes knows my love of the Giant monster. Whether they are destroying public buildings, getting their asses kicked by Ultraman or just trying to raise a family, Giant monsters are undeniably awesome.

O Hear me Mothra, Godzilla, and others of great heights, grant me and my buddies good times and inspiration.

Weird Muppet Science by Catherine Peach

------------------------------------------------
You may have noticed a large lack of posts this time around. It seems due to the thanksgiving holiday and the fact that many of our contributors are students currently involved in finals, that everybody needed just a wee more time for their Muppets. Now if i was an evil ugly monster monster master full of wrath i would say. "too bad suckers!". But fortune smiles upon us all, Because as you already know, it turns out i am a benevolent and beautiful monster master. Therefore i extend Muppet submissions until this Thursday, December 10th.

HOORAY!

Tuesday, November 24, 2009

Now accepting submissions for:
MUPPETS

Yes its true that when Jim Henson started creating Muppets he did not have monsters solely in mind. He also had frogs, bears, pigs, chickens and various other depictions of 'real' members of the animal kingdom. And yet i can not stress enough the quantity and the quality of the monster contingent of the Muppet family. There are the obvious members such as Elmo and Sweetums. But lest us forget the more ambiguous, yet undeniably monstrous cast members; such as Dr.Teeth and Gonzo. I have a great love of these charaters and i hope they will inspire creativity and weridness in all of your submissons.

So lets all flail our arms around like a flaccid stretch arm strong and shout "HOORAY!", because drawings of Muppets are on there way!

Ivysuar, Squirtle, and Misty. Just hanging out. By Yam Saiki.

Well we did not catch them all but we certainly have seen a different side of Pokemon. During these two weeks we have battled, earned badges, and ate some magicarp. But now it is time to wave good bye to the kingdom of pocket monsters. A whole new adventure lays ahead. Tune in tomorrow to find out!
